This guy talked to me on POF then quickly moved onto hangouts. He asked me to delete my Pof account.
Soon the long emails began, all the usual telling me he was widowed, had two children who lived with his mother in SA his wife and eldest son had been killed in a car accident. Told me he had met a woman called Lisa last year but she cheated on him with his housemate.
He told me he was out working on an oil rig in Istanbul. He was a project manager for kca deutag He told me not to tell my family or friends about our relationship as he wanted it to be a surprise! He had talked often about how he couldn't wait to meet me plus how he wanted us to get a house together wherever I wished to live and then we would get married.
He sent me copies of documents of the agreement he had and contract with kca deutag... I had these checked out and there were too many spelling mistakes and the solicitors who had prepared the documents was in fact fake with a fake number....
This is when alarm bells rang but I kept quiet....
A week went by....
He then told me there had been an explosion on the rig and two men had been badly hurt...
He then asked me to check his bank account and transfer some money out of it as his internet was bad When my computer malware would not allow access as it was an insecure website he told me he would speak to his mother and a friend for help Two days later he told me that he had managed to raise ?95k but still needed ?19k to buy new equipment that had been damaged I told him I had no money, he has been fine about that but I am fully aware he is a scammer.
