Took 8 weeks of texting, most of it while he was in the UK on business before asking to help with money because the bank wouldn't release his business check but his bank in the US was ready to release the funds.. he needed to pay his workers, rental cars & hotel bill. even sent log-on information for his bank but neglected to say which bank (only that it was a German bank). i got suspicious and reinvestigated his web-site and search for verifiable information. i was not able to confirm any of the licensing information located there. when i questioned the bank releasing the check that was sent to him, i was told that it was up to the UK bank and thats how they did business because they were burned before. since it was a business sending him money then he needed to go back to the company that wrote the check and i was told that's not how it was done.... seriously? that's how banking has worked for more than 50 yrs.. glad i double checked.
