I subscribed to match hoping to look for my true soulmate. In less than 3 days I have so many admirers.All the first emails I received asked me to reply them on their personal email addresses. The reasons seem to be all coincidental saying due to their nature of work they are unable or have problem accessing to match.com site. This is my 1st time on line dating I was very new. I thought everyone are genuine and they are serious. We exchanged emails and they added me in messenger and I chatted with them. I didn''t realized they were fake and they are not what and who they said they are.They played with my emotions and feelings.In less than 4 days, they expressed how much they love me and they want to come to malaysia to take me to US to be their wife and so on. I was convinced with this person with all his love letters to me, he asked me for my match.com username and password. I gave it to him but something just felt not right by then it was too late. He stole my membership by changing my username and password and I tried to search his username it does not exist!! I reported it to Match.com after I realised I was scammed and they replied to inform that they are unable to locate my account. He has my full name and date of birth.
Watch out for this patterns:
All of them are widowed, wife died of blood cancer left with 1 child, very pathetic. Age between 43-50 years old US man,widowed, christian/catholic, looking for woman age between 40 - 60.They said they owned a horse ranch, construction firm and working overseas on contract, very busy due to the nature of their work. They asked for money to be transfer to them through western union,children needed immediate medical treatment and so on. I stopped contact with them when they asked for money.I was only less than 10 days on match.com. After this bad experience I now realized that it is very unsafe to be online dating sites, they are all fake. I am still in shocked after what had happened.
