Report N1 (added on April, 10, 2013)

I am a gay male who responded to a profile on a gay dating site and began corresponding with someone claiming to be Staff Sargent Kyle Keenan, age 32, currently deployed with the Fifth Mountain Regiment of the US Army and stationed at Camp Eggers, Afghanistan. We've been corresponding for about a month now, and today I had some suspicions as to whether he is who he says he is so I began doing a little research, and that's when I discovered that I was actually corresponding with a scammer posing as a US military personnel. I now know, in all certainty, that Staff Sargent Kyle Keenan is indeed a scammer. It's early in our correspondence and thus far he has not requested I send him any money or packages, but I'm sure those requests will soon be forthcoming. I just received another e-mail from him today and so far he doesn't know I know he's a scammer and that I'm on to him. I'm trying to figure out a way to nail his a$$ good, lol, sort of turn the tables and give him a taste of his own medicine so to speak! Would love to send him a computer virus but have no idea how to go about that, lol. Maybe I should ask HIM to send ME money or maybe an IPad!

Report N2 (added on August, 5, 2013)

I heard from two men from Afghanistan in two weeks. This seemed odd to me. I suspected the 2nd one right away and said something to him and that was that. I didn't want to believe cute little Kyle Keenan was a scammer too, but alas I fished around on google images and found an image of him (or whoever that person really is) and the link it was attached to was male scammers! What a total bummer!!! This person professed to be falling for me and his future was me! Said all the right things. I am a sucker! He didn't really do anything to me, except wasted my time and emotions and I shared my personal history with him. I do feel violated, but I am glad I know, so I am posting here to help anyone else out in my shoes. In my last email I told him I don't have a lot of money, so I'm sure I would never hear from him again anyway. LOL. He also is listed on facebook with that same picture and name. No personal photos but the one, so my guess this is the scammer as well. I wonder who the guy in the picture really is. Sorry if you have run into this jerk too!

Report N3 (added on August, 26, 2013)

Contact was initiated by Kyle Keenan.
Contact made from the website gaydar.co.uk (his profile is under kinky1011) where I also have a profile.
We exchanged emails from March 3 until early August 2013.
In his emails he seemed to move rapidly from an initial friend to very romantic talk.He came across very sweet, and used at least one letter that I can see from your website. In July he began to ask for money so he could pay a UK tax on his leave check, due before he could get his leave check. I told him that I was not in a position to pay the 650 GPB ( ~ $1,040 ) requested.

Report N4 (added on October, 10, 2013)

Keenan, as he referred to himself, sent me a message on OKCupid back on Sept. 20, 2013. Within a few days we had exchanged phone numbers so we could text. We worked opposite shifts so we never had the chance to talk on the phone. Things started to seem a little strange. His English wasn't always the best...kind of strange for someone who's profile was very well written. After doing much research, I realized that a lot of what he was telling me were all lies. His wife died of renal failure a few months after giving birth to their son. At first he told me his parents were both dead but a few weeks later I tried to catch him in a lie and he said that his mother had died and that his dad lived in Fresno, CA. Early on he told me his 3 year old sons name was Riley but during a conversation he slipped and called him Daniel. We made plans to meet in person and the Friday before that Sunday he suddenly has to be deployed to Mali...no wait, he got that wrong he later told me. He was giving me the wrong time when asked so I think he had to change the location to match the time that he told me. So...for right now he's in Libya, or so he'd like me to believe. I kept asking for pictures, wanting him to prove he was who he said he was. He had plenty of pictures to send to me but I (with the help of a friend) was able to determine that they were not recent like he claimed.
