Report N1 (added on February, 15, 2013)

Messaged me that he was interested in me and really wanted to get to know all about me. Then asked for my email address so we could write more. Received a long letter with pics that he was in South Africa doing work as an artist and he brought his daughter along. BTW...he is gorgeous in the pics!! Wrote all these beautiful and lovely things that every woman wants to hear! So, I wrote back and sent a few pics also. But something just didn't feel right! So I started googling his name, his email, whatever I could do to find out more! I came across your site and BAM! There he was, A scammer! he hasn't asked me for anything yet so I can't wait to give him the good news when he tries!!! Girls, be careful and watch out!!!

Report N2 (added on March, 22, 2013)

Met on site and he asked for my email we emailed for 2 weeks and exchanged pics. Said he was in South Africa on an art trip and his daughter was with him. Said she fell ill and was in the hospital. After a few days said he needed almost $700 to settle her bill so they could revalidate their flight and come home. I did not have that kind of money. The day after he asked for the money he told me he was meeting with some men to see if they would buy some of his art work. When he got back with me said he was still $350 short. Against my better judgement I sent him the money then he sends me another email stating that he needed another $560 to fix their tickets. I was pissed cause I knew right away I got scammed! Ladies watch out!

Who ever this is chatted with me via email & texting for about 7 days stateing him and his 8 yr old daughter Jess were @ an art show in Africa and a couple of days before they were to leave Africa and go home the daughter Jess got sick and put into thte hospital! Michael Stein asked me to send hom $565 to add to the $1000 his mother sent him the day before. Thankfully he said in an email a few days befor that how awesome my voice sounded and he had never heard my voice so the RED flag when up. I continued to chat to see how far it would go and sure enough he or they or whoever asked for money. Whoever this is has multiple pictures of hte so called Michael, and the daighter Jess, and has clearly done this alot and knows what they are doing.

Report N5 (added on June, 28, 2013)

I was contacted via this Michael, or whomever his name is while browsing on-line at Singleparentmeet. He asked for my email, I stupidly gave it to him. He started emailing me a few days later and we have been emailing back and forth for about 2 weeks. He said he was in South Africa on business for an art exhibition with his 8 year old daughter Jessica. He has TONS of pictures of some guy and his sweet daughter (obviously playing it off as him and his daughter). He was to come home to Plano, Tx and about two days before his flight out his daughter fell ill with Typhoid Fever. Well of course stupid me fell for it and I was so worried and blah blah blah. But than is first mistake was talking medical terms and prognosis with a RN. He was saying stuff that just was not adding up. Than came the request for money. $865 to be exact. He claims it was money to clear Jess's medical bills cause they wouldn't let her out until it was paid. Well when one is pursuing a single mother of two children and just graduating nursing school you bet my answer was NO.

Report N6 (added on December, 6, 2013)

Started talking to me on plenty of fish. He asked for my email within a day I noticed his profile was gone. He said he knew I was the one and deleted it. He asked me to delete mine as well as he knew we were meant for eachother. He said he was emailing from Olathe Kansas he even had a Kansas phone number to start with. Then a couple days went by and he said he had good news that he was invited to south Africa for work. My story is just like all the rest. I almost sent money feeling sorry. I actually went to the bank deposited the money and thought I think I just got scammed. I then looked up the number he said he was calling from the hotel and this website came up only he was using a different name, with me it was Michael Durbin. He asked me to send him a picture of the receipt I did. I called the bank as soon as I realized what was going on. They said the funds were still there and put a hold on it. I then played like I put more money in the bank and he said he was going to get it out. He called a few hours later pleading I go to the bank and take the hold off that the person's account (his assistant) is going to get arrested and she did nothing wrong, all she did was give him the money up front and now she is going to be out of money. Needless to say BE CAREFUL TRUST NOBODY WITH YOUR MONEY!!!!!! These guys are professional and know how it works.....

Report N7 (added on April, 15, 2013)

This occurred within the past five weeks. He started by emailing me, wanting to take things slow as he was a divorcee with a 9 year old daughter. He told me he was originally from Greece but had moved to the US when 20. Then started saying all these sweet things. I was a little hesitant. About 2 weeks in he asked for my phone number. He would call and say sweet things, reeling me in. I still didn't let my guard down as far as a relationship especially since he told me he had to go to Scotland then South Africa for an art show. I of course did some googling-he gave some typical tourist info. He asked for a 50$ iTunes card. I was a little suspicious, thinking why could he get one there but I went ahead and got it. I should have been smart and switched some letters.

Report N8 (added on May, 27, 2014)

He claims to own an art studio and be divorced raising his daughter Jess.
Said he was invited to an art show in Milnerton South Africa and just before he was to return home his daughter contracted typhoid fever and was hospitalized. It took all his money to pay her hospital bill and he needed money to the tune of $4,000 to reactivate their flight tickets to return home. His Mom could only help with $1,000 and he needed the money right away and would pay me back as soon as he returned. He could not get to his money at his bank back in the US because of tight security reasons.
I did some research and found him online. He got me for $1,200. almost $5,200 until I checked online more stringent.
