Report N1 (added on January, 4, 2019)

I met Santino through Match. He contacted me and immediately said he was being harassed by women wanting one night stands so asked to. Talk by email/WhatsApp. He cllaimed to be a widower (lost wife to breast cancer 8yrs ago). Has a 16yr old daughter called Sandra. Used to live in Bath, now claims to live In london. Sandra was looked after by a nanny (strange given she was 16).
Said he was an engineer and was bidding for a large ?15m contract. Was successful in winning a contract to build a petrol station in Malaysia. Left within a couple of days of winning the contract (this seemed strange). Spoke very well about finances involved (I'm in banking).
Sent me lots of pictures - on the plane, with his daughter etc. Had a very strong accent which didn't sound Spanish (his family were from Madrid) - also strange. Emails were very long and rambling so I got a bit bored but they were also very emotional, very quickly (another warning sign). He got onto the site in malaysia and had a problem initially with finding a translator. Sent me pics of the site. Then a few days later he messaged to say the tax authorities ha dethrone him off the site and demanded he paid all his personal tax up front. He negotiated with them (he apparently owed ?400k) and they agreed to accept ?30k. He scraped this together by borrowing from a friend and what he had left in his bank account. He called me at midnight to ask for money for food. I refused saying if his friend was lending him ?10k I am sure he would lend him an extra ?200 for food. Besides he was in malaysia and I am sure rice would be v cheap! He got quite nasty and it was v difficult to get him off the phone. The next day he texted me to say he was v embarrassed but he still needed the money. I refused and ended the conversation.. a very believable guy particularly if you are vulnerable.
