Report N1 (added on September, 6, 2017)

I have no idea if the name/email/location of the person I'm reporting is real. He initially contacted me August 18 and gave me his number. We texted for just over a week and we also talked on google hangouts but he said his webcam wasn't working. His profile included pics of a muscular guy who made between $300k-$500k/year, net worth of over $1M. The description was that his name is James, he was new to the site and wanted a long term relationship. He was very charming and said he wanted to send me flowers. I gave him the name of my workplace and he sent the address to confirm. A couple of days later I didn't get flowers and I basically confronted him about whether he was as serious as he said he was. The florist called to say the flowers were billed to me (they didn't have my payment info.) I finally got my flowers. He said there was some confusion on their end - I did not pay, he did. He sent me pics via text that were very attractive and he said he's an event planner who worked under contract. I asked him if he wanted to visit me during the Labour Day weekend and he said he would. The next day he sent me flight info. Then he said his company called and wanted him to work an event in Ghana but he would be done by Friday and could still visit me. This past Monday he texted me to say that he had to buy some supplies and did not have cash, visa or mastercard on him, only Amex, which they would not accept. If I could wire him $300US to cover the expenses he would pay me back when we met. I told him I'd never ask someone I barely knew for money and why couldn't his employer cover his expenses or he could contact his bank. He said he didn't get paid until after the job and it would look unprofessional to have them send money, and that it would take up to four days for his bank to send the money. I told him I know from experience it doesn't take that long. I said I felt I was being played. I reported him to the website he was on and his profile was removed. I did a google search on him and nothing came up, strange. I also did a google image search on the pics he sent. Turns out they were of a bodybuilder named Gert Louw who lives in Cape Town and has a blog/website. I sent him a notice as well and he responded that this is about the tenth time someone has used his image to scam women. Gert's site is gertlouw.com so if anyone sees this guy's pics on a site it's not him, Gert is happily married. I kept the texts.
